Besan ladoo or besan unde is prepared using gram flour, sugar and ghee. Grind it into a fine powder and keep it aside. In a thick bottomed pan start dry roasting the besan or gram flour under medium flame. You will need Sugar, Cashews, Gram Flour, Cardamom, Ghee and Sooji.

Steps to make Besan Laddu (gram flour or chickpeak flour sugar balls):
  1. Take a woke. Heat. Now dry roast gram flour for 10-12 minutes in low flame. Stir continuously. Let it brown. Should not burn.
  2. As gram flour starts to change colour, after 10-12 minutes add melted ghee. Stir continuously for next 5-6 minutes. It will starts releasing ghee n will give a fragrant aroma.
  3. Remove the woke from gas oven n add the powdered sugar, mix well.
  4. Add the chopped nuts, stir well so that no lump are formed. Add Cardamom powder too..
  5. When it's lukewarm not hot, Now starts to make balls, not very small nor very big. Take a one tbs mix on your palm n make as in picture.

Start by taking gram flour in a thick bottom kadai. add ghee to it. I tried to make besan laddoo following Manjula aunty's recipe. After the stirring of besan , I cooled it down and added powdered sugar which made it really grainy.
